Is This Recipe Vegan?

Depending on the protein powder used in this recipe, this protein shake can be vegan! Any plant-based chocolate protein powder, along with the other ingredients listed, makes for an entirely plant-based protein shake. I like to use chocolate almond milk instead of cow’s milk. Because I love the flavor, it is another vegan ingredient to add to this shake.

This chocolatey protein shake is quick and healthy and has enough protein to start your day off right. Only six ingredients in the blender, and you have the perfect shake!

Ingredients
 

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or chocolate almond milk
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Sugar, or Stevia (or your favorite zero or no-calorie sweetener)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • Blend all of the ingredients together in a blender until smooth, and serve immediately.
